Ingrid Bergman met Roberto Rossellini in 1949 in paris, shortly
before the two would start working together on "Stromboli". It was
love at first sight, and Ingrid left her husband Dr. Petter Lindstrom,
to marry Roberto Rossellini in 1950, after having already given birth
to their son Robertino. Ingrid and Roberto made several films
together, and had two other children, Isabella and Ingrid Jr.
Unfortunately, when Ingrid went to work with French director Jean
Renoir, the green-eyed monster of jealousy reared its ugly head and
her marriage to Roberto began its downward spiral. The two were
divorced in 1957.
