Horror auteur John Carpenter and Adrienne Barbeau met in 1979 while
she was starring in his atmospheric thriller "The Fog", and were
married shortly thereafter. They made one more film together,
1981's Escape From New York, in which Adrienne played the
gun-toting Maggie. The two divorced in 1984.
